First Team Subaru making donation to Roanoke Valley SPCA to offset loss due to theft.

For immediate release

On Tuesday, January 10th, three individuals entered the Roanoke Valley SPCA under the guise of needing help with food for their pets. But their real intent was to steal the donation jar sitting on the counter.

These three individuals brazenly and maliciously stole donation money from the RVSPCA, and the police are obtaining warrants for their arrest.

As a friend of the RVSPCA and the community, First Team Subaru is making a special donation of $1000 to help offset the money lost in this heinous theft. We are also replacing the stolen donation jar.

There is no way of knowing how much money was in the donation jar. According to the SPCA it costs $7 a day to provide litter for all the cats at the shelter and $25 to feed all the animals, so we at First Team are hopeful our donation will help make up for the stolen money.

We at First Team Subaru understand how important every cent is to the care and wellbeing of abandoned, neglected and abused animals. In the past we have hosted an adoption event with the RVSPCA at our dealership, and we continue our support now in this time of need.
